iPlay u8's competed in the inaugural Bangkok International Youth Festival of Football on March 27th and 28th 2010 playing against some of the top football academies in South East Asia. We entered a joint team with C.U.K.I. combining the best players in the age group from both schools. With only a few hours preparation over the previous weekend, the team had a great tournament with our u8's team narrowly losing in the cup final 2-1 to a Sithsamarn team that was clearly loaded with overage players.

The boys were desperately unlucky to concede a late goal, having been all but kicked off the pitch by a very physical team that they had already beaten 1-0 earlier in the day. They played some excellent football throughout the day and indeed were by far the better footballing side in the final.

Overall the team had a great day of football and were very unlucky to lose in the Cup Final. Congratulations to everyone who took part and we look forward to taking part in the next tournament as we move through the season.
